  Not for speed but for style -- and it delivers completely

  I am an enthusiast in the design and ownership experience sense rather than the outright performance sense, and the Chetak C25 is the most satisfying electric scooter I have owned on both counts. The retro-modern design draws compliments every week and the premium feel of the metal body is unlike anything else in the segment. Performance is more than sufficient for Mumbai city riding -- the acceleration is smooth and confident, never embarrassing in traffic. The app and connected features work reliably. Build quality gives the sense of a product that has been engineered to age well rather than sell well in a showroom. For riders who appreciate the ownership experience as much as the riding, the C25 is exceptional.

  The most refined electric scooter I have ridden

  I test-rode six electric scooters before buying the Chetak C25 and the difference in build quality is immediately apparent. The metal body panels do not flex, nothing rattles, and the overall fit and finish is a full level above the competition at this price. Range in eco mode has been consistently around 105-110 km across my 22 km daily commute in varying Pune traffic. The connected app is simple but does everything I need -- charge monitoring, navigation, and geofencing. Power delivery is smooth and predictable in traffic. Running costs are a significant reduction from my previous petrol scooter. The C25 feels like it was built to last rather than built to impress on a spec sheet.

  The safest electric scooter choice for a family

  We spent two months evaluating electric scooters before choosing the Chetak C25 for our family and the metal body construction was the deciding factor. The safety confidence it provides is genuinely different from plastic-bodied alternatives -- the scooter absorbs minor knocks and kerb contacts without any visible damage after six months of family use. Pillion comfort for my elderly mother is the best I have experienced on any scooter. Power delivery is smooth and predictable even with a heavy pillion. Boot space fits a medium bag comfortably. The geofencing works reliably and the app gives me real-time peace of mind. Range covers all our family errands with days to spare.   Superb city scooter that hits a wall beyond city limits

  I bought the Chetak C25 on the strength of its build quality and daily riding experience -- both of which are excellent. My issue is that I occasionally need to cover the Jaipur-Ajmer route and the C25 struggles on this purpose. Real-world range at 70 kmph drops to around 75 km, the top speed feels strained for comfortable highway use, and the charging options outside Jaipur are almost nonexistent. The scooter itself is outstanding for city use -- smooth, premium, confidence-inspiring. But the gap between city capability and intercity capability is sharper here than with rivals that offer higher top speeds. If your riding is entirely urban the C25 earns a strong recommendation. Add any highway requirement and the limitations emerge quickly.
